Grassin Creators of Six #2 A Fantasy Romance Novel eBook Jacob L White
I read book two of the series without reading book one, but still found it enjoyable. From chapter one I could easily guess what has happened in the previous book. Weaver, a warrior with magical abilities, failed to protect the King’s wife and others that were dear to him. He’s supposed to be executed for his failure, but instead, the King forgives him mainly because Princess Laila loves him. Thus although he would rather die than living with the traumatic memory, Weaver has to complete his mission of saving the two Kingdoms, and once again goes on a dangerous mission. The book is full of dialogues and easy to follow. The moderate amount of danger keeps you flipping the pages. Weaver is brave guy well deserved Leila’s love and the playful jealousy from Anna adds to a degree of excitement to the story. Dirk is a lively character and a great companion. A must read for the fantasy lovers.Tags : Grassin - Creators of Six #2: A Fantasy Romance Novel - Kindle edition by Jacob L White. Grassin Creators of Six #2 A Fantasy Romance Novel eBook Jacob L White Reviews
Great continuation of a fabulous series. All the characters we met are still here except for Les, she was a great character with a wicked sense of humour. Weaver is still on his quest with all its ups and down. Totally enjoyed this book.
The protagonist Weaver is a haunted man with blood on his hands after killing the king’s wife and son. He felt he was given little choice as Aden was possessed by the villainous Liam. He starts out full of guilt and remorse, preferring death to life but as the story progresses and he gains strength, he develops a good sense of humour. There is a host of characters, all well drawn and believable with magical powers and the ability to connect minds (something I always enjoy). As they meet numerous challenges, they grow, and relationships become stronger.
Weaver has a powerful and highly valued magic stone which ensures his safety, but first, he is unable to access its powers. With Laila at his side, he sets off on a thrilling quest. There are many twists and turns and dangers to be negotiated. The ending came as a complete surprise and is a good entry to the next book in the series. This is a dialogue rich book written in the first person. Personally, I would have liked a little more description. However, this is a good fantasy which I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend to all those who enjoy the genre.
Grassin is a well written book by Jacob L. White. He beautifully continues the story of Weaver in this second book of the series. The plot thickens and follows a captivating storyline with lots of well hidden twists along of their journey. Unlike the first book, this one is definitely a little faster paced and covers a lot larger area of this "new world" that the author builds for the readers. I enjoyed how the author found a way to integrate known mythical creatures like the "fates" into the story that make sense. The story is still a bit on the slower side but I think the author is learning from his previous book. The book ends with a huge ending but also a cliff hanger and I am curious how the author will continue this saga.
Weaver is an interesting character. I was happy to see that he stopped his constant lamenting of his position in life and where he ended up and finally decided to do what is best. Don't take me wrong he always had his heart in the right place and will always do everything he can to protect the ones he loves, but he was a tad of a "cry baby" in the first book. I am happy to see he outgrew that and has "manned" up quite a bit. He did a lot of growing and is finally making some decisisions that need to be made instead of complaining about his horrible position of having to make that decision. He has also now learnt that even in the worsts moments he can find a way to find humor, which I have found is becoming one of his better traits! Laila is a great character as well and will stop at nothing to support him in any manner that she can. Anna is a bit more torn, but she also has a tougher position in it all.
All in all I think the second book is an improvement in many ways from the first one and is starting to really live up to the potential I saw when I started to read this series. I am definitely curious to see where this will go next!
Voluntary review of Advance Reader Copy. I was given a complimentary copy of this book by the publisher.
This second book is about the story of Weaver who is still on his quest. I really appreciated how the author developed the story and added the plot twists along the way, keeping you turning the pages. A very enjoyable tale in a fantasy world!
This second book in the series was the first I laid my hands on. This is a fine story of a man torn apart between the guilt of his previous actions and the responsibility of saving the kingdoms at stake. This fast-paced book was a convincing read that kept me going until the very end. Definitely recommended to the genre readers!
This is the second book in the Creators of Six series and can be read on its own. This is the first book I have read by this author and I thought he did a good job developing an interesting plot and great characters. This was a fast paced book that was easy to read in one night. I look forward to reading more by this author.
A highly engrossing read that continues the story of Weaver and his friends. Sadly Les is gone and I loved her so.
Nicely paced and up until the end one could definitely see it as a standalone. Characters are well-written and continue on easily.
Highly recommended!
